taylors pharmacyLast week two staff from Taylor's Pharmacy, Cheriton Road, Folkestone, helped out a workshop for 6-16 years olds with a sight impairment. Staff from Taylor's Pharmacy had fundraised in-store over £500 earlier in the year to enable this workshop to take place and to cover all costs incurred.

Manager of Taylor's Pharmacy, Nicki Sweet and Charlotte Marsh went to Chatham for the workshop, which was led by Kent artist, Wendy Daws, who frequently works with Kent Association for the Blind.

Wendy Suffield, Community & Events Fundraising Manger at KAB says: "KAB is so grateful to Taylor's Pharmacy. These types of creative workshops can only happen when funds allow. They enable visually impaired children to get together with their peers and encourage their confidence by trying out different ways of self-expression. This workshop was a puppet themed day and the children had such fun."

"Watching their self-confidence grow during the day was fantastic, and it was amazing to see how everyone's creativity is totally unique. Some of the techniques used at this workshop included designing and creating puppets. The day ended with a puppet show.
