Karen Osborn
Chief Executive

Karen joined KAB in February 2007. KAB's Trustees delegate day-to-day responsibility for running the charity to the Chief Executive, so Karen is responsible for KAB's strategy, finances, policy, and service delivery and development. She has over 20 years experience of voluntary sector management, mainly gained with disability charities.

Jen Beardsley
Head of Finance

Jen has been with KAB since August 2007 and has responsibility for the financial controls and the day-to-day running of the finance department. Jen is a qualified chartered accountant, and gained experience with a number of different charities having trained in audit with Pricewaterhouse Coopers and later moving on to a smaller accountancy practice.

Vanessa Stanley
Head of Human Resources

Vanessa joined KAB in July 2002 having worked in Human Resources for The Independent, The Independent on Sunday and Marie Curie Cancer Care. Vanessa is responsible for all areas of KAB recruitment, performance management, organisational policies and training on personnel issues.

Jonathan Ward
Head of Rehabilitation Services

Jonathan was appointed Head of Rehabilitation Services in July 2010. Having previously worked as a Rehabilitation Worker, Team Leader and Rehabilitation Operations Manager for East Kent with a total of more than 20 years of experience in providing services to people with sight impairments, Jonathan feels he still has much to learn but also much to share.
