Seeing the Potential

Action for Blind People in association with RNIB and in partnership with KAB, delivers an employment service that can provide one-to-one employment support for people with sight impairments.

The service which is based at KAB's Sight Centre in Maidstone offers:

  • Support to explore employment options
  • Help with finding work placements, voluntary work and paid employment
  • Help with CV writing and completing applications forms
  • Interview preparation
  • Advice on how the Access to Work scheme can help you.

To be eligible for service you must be:

  • Sight impaired (partially sighted) or severely sight impaired (blind)
  • Age 18+ and living in Kent
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Unemployed or working less than 16 hours per week
