Sight impairment awareness training
- Have you wondered what it's like having reduced vision?
- Are you nervous about assisting someone who has a sight impairment?
- Are the needs of sight impaired people met by your business?
In the UK, three in 100 people have low vision. With well-trained staff you can ensure that people with a sight impairment fully benefit from your service.
Our trainers are all Rehab Workers, experienced at enabling people with sight impairments to be as independent as possible.
The half-day training will cover the causes and effects of the six main eye conditions together with practical, hands-on experience under simulation, including how to guide someone safely.
Venues: depending upon the number of participants the awareness training will take place at either your business or organisation or at one of KAB's Sight centres in Maidstone, Bromley or Canterbury.
Costs: £45 per person. Group rates are available.
