Will there be lots of written work?
You will be expected to complete written assignments, but there are also opportunities within the degree for you to show your practical skills through role play. Modules contain practical assessment allowing you to impress us with the work-based knowledge and skills you already have.Where do I have to go to study?
You will study at one of the Canterbury Christ Church Campuses one day per week and at KAB Maidstone one day per week. View a map of KAB's Maidstone office.How long does the course last?
The course lasts for either two or four years, at the discretion of the student.How much support will I receive?

Do I need a Work Place Learning Facilitator?
All students are required to provide evidence of workplace support, via a named Workplace Learning Facilitator. This person will be responsible for supporting you in the workplace whilst you undertake your Foundation Degree. They will give you the opportunities to observe other practitioners within the field of sight impairment and ensure you have opportunities to observe and teach service users, whilst you study the specialist modules in rehabilitation skills, including orientation and mobility and low vision.How much does the Foundation Degree cost?
The course fees are approximately £260.00 per module. An additional handling fee of £60.00 to KAB, will apply per specialist module.Who will pay for the course?
You may be entitled to claim financial support from your Local Education Authority depending on your income. Alternatively, your employer may pay the costs or you may pay for the costs yourself.Where can I obtain an application form?
