Kent Association for the Blind

KAB's Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance and strategic direction of the charity. They work with Eithne Rynne, KAB's Chief Executive, to make sure KAB fulfils it's aims and objectives and to ensure that the charity and its staff work within current charity law and regulations.

KAB's trustees are all volunteers, and receive no payment for their work. They reflect the diversity of the people we support, and have been chosen because of the skills, expertise and experiences they can offer. A third of our Trustees have a sight impairment, which ensures the interests of visually impaired people stay central to all our work.

Eithne joined KAB in August 2016, from the London Voluntary Service Council where she also held the position of CEO. KAB's Trustees delegate day-to-day responsibility for running the charity to the Chief Executive, so Eithne is responsible for KAB's strategy, finances, policy, and service delivery and development. She has a wealth of experience of voluntary sector management, mainly gained within voluntary and community organisations. Email Eithne at This email address is being protected from spambots.
