Bearsted Golf Day 2025

Bearsted Golf Day 2025

Five circles with images from the golf day. One shows a golfer taking a swing to tee off. One shows Richard doing his speech. One shows the winning team lined up holding wine and a certificate. One shows four golfers standing behind the KAB banner. The last shows four golfers wearing simi-specs standing behind a KAB banner.
What an amazing day of golf yesterday at the fantastic Bearsted Golf Club, sponsored by Turkey Mill.

The rain held off thankfully and golfers got to enjoy the fantastic course and have some friendly competition along the way. At hole one, teams got to tee off wearing spectacles that simulated the eye condition Glaucoma (quite challenging!), whilst at hole 18 they had an opportunity to beat our pro golfer Matt Ford, which was extremely difficult…in fact only one person did!

A huge thank you to Richard for sharing his story after the lunch in front of all of our guests. His inspiring story brought back home the reason we hold our golf day – to benefit visually impaired people to lead more independent lives.
I truly don’t know where I’d be in life right now if if wasn’t for KAB.
Thank you Richard!

Our thanks to all the golfers who came and supported our charity and to our sponsors Turkey Mill, Nova IT Solutions, Goudhurst Legal, Phil Harding and Natwest. So many wonderful organisations donated prizes for our raffle and auctions, we are so extremely grateful. We raised over £12,400!

We can’t wait for next year!
