Resources for schools
We have created a range of fun games and writing exercises for students in Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.
There are many misconceptions about sight loss. One of the biggest concerns is that people believe that a person with a cane is completely blind. Only 4% of the UK population (who are registered as severely sight impaired) has no vision at all. 96% of those registered at that level have some vision, even though this is severely restricted. Our resources help students to understand the different sight conditions and ways to look after their own eye health.
Whether you choose to link your support to your curriculum or are looking for some fun yet informative form time or rainy lunchtime activities, we have a great range of resources for schools.
To help teachers, we can offer you:
- a range of educational resources for all ages,
- a virtual talk or presentation on the importance of looking after your eyes,
- a fundraising pack full of ideas on raising awareness and funds for our charity.
If you have any questions or if you would like a virtual presentation or talk about the importance of looking after your eyes then please do get in touch.

Book us for a talk or presentation
We provide a fun and informative talk about the importance of good eye health and other topics. Get in contact to book KAB to come to your school (in person or virtually). We can also bring our mobile sight centre, Iris, where we can demonstrate lots of gadgets that people with low vision use, including magnifiers and smart technology.
