Fundraising ideas
We have some great fundraising ideas you can take part in, either virtually or in person.
Quiz
Do your own quiz at your local community centre or pub. There are lots of apps and websites to run a virtual quiz. You can even use video chat platforms like Skype and do the quiz live.
Fancy dress day
Liven up your next work meeting by wearing fancy dress, PJs or funny wigs. Choose a different, funnier outfit each week. Each person donates £2 which you could pay by text or online – it couldn’t be simpler!
Best eggs win!
Have a competition with your friends and family to decorate Easter eggs. Each entry costs £2. Choose a judge and a prize for the winning egg. Make sure you take photos of the entries and email us the results!
Gaming for good
Charity gaming events are a great way for you to have fun and raise money for KAB. Livestream your game on Twitch and link with your Justgiving account and start raising money. Click here to read more about this new trend.
Cup of Tea for KAB
Put the kettle on and bake some cakes and have your own intimate tea party. Invite guests virtually or party in person. Either way make sure it’s a proper tea party, so get out all the best china! Download our Cup of Tea for KAB resources.
How does your garden grow?
Make your garden red for KAB. Do you grow red flowers, tomatoes or strawberries? Make some red bunting and post your pictures online.
Sing your heart out!
Upload a video to your social media of you singing your favourite song to brighten our lives. Remember to tag KAB. You could win the opportunity to perform live at one of our events!
Running
We have places in the Brighton Marathon, Brighton 10K and London Marathon. We also have our own Superhero Run. Set up a fundraising page on JustGiving and connect your page to Strava to map your run. Check out our other events.
Take on 250
Challenge yourself to do 250 of anything – bake 250 cakes, walk up 250 steps, walk 250km, swim 250m. The list is endless. Every day 250 people start to lose their sight in the UK, that’s why we’re raising awareness of this via the Take on 250 challenge.
Tell us what you plan to do
Let us know what you wish to do for your fundraising. If you need any support with your fundraising, we’d love to help.
